The Lawyers’s role
We believe that:
- The lawyer should explore and find ways to overcome obstacles, settle conflicts, and facilitate deals. Clients do not benefit from legal counsel that advises on what cannot be done.
- The lawyer should necessarily contemplate a “cost – benefit” analysis, taking into account the commercial position, objectives and risk-appetite of each client. Legal counsel should not be reduced to informing the client what the law says.
- Clients have to live with deals long after they have closed. Legal counsel should avoid spurring confrontation. We assist all the involved parties in building the foundations for a fruitful and long-lasting commercial relationship.
